The Civic Center has four racquetball courts; an upper level observation of courts; a weight room; circuit training room has a full line of state of the art Cybex equipment (as seen on the Biggest Loser) includes an arc trainer, treadmills, elliptical, stairmaster, recumbant bike, and cross trainer; multipurpose room (basketball, roller skating); locker rooms with locker rental, towel service, tanning bed, hot tub, office and full service kitchen - reserve your time.

Circuit Training Room
 
The circuit training room is used daily by members. The weight room has state of the art Cybex equipment, installed January 2010, machines include leg press, leg extension, chest press, ab and back machine. Free weights include bench press, incline bench, curl bench, squat rack - reserve your time. The classes are designed to improve your strength through different exercise routines using body weight and specialized equipment. Classes are instructor led and can be joined any time.

Multipurpose Room

The multipurpose room is used mainly for after school activities including walking track, basketball court, volleyball court, roller skating, scooters, kickball, and free play. During inclement weather, walkers use the area for exercise. The city rents the multipurpose room for large events with banquet tables and chairs provided.

The Center is proud to host many community events, such as: Parade of Lights, ARC Blood Drawings, Toys for Tots and the Love Package, annual community garage sale, Chamber of Commerce banquet, city meetings, and much more. The Center is also rented out for other large events including but not limited to: wedding receptions, tournaments, and many large banquets and dinners.

 

The city rents the multipurpose room for large events with banquet tables and chairs provided.

DAILY RENTAL $300.00; $100.00 each consecutively day; $100.00 discounts      for local resident who can show proof of living locally.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES (2 hours) $30.00 for 10-15 kids; $35.00 16-20 kids

Racquetball Courts

Racquetball Leagues, Cardio Kickboxing Class and Yoga Class use the courts during the winter months. The Civic Center has four racquetball courts and an upper level observation of courts.

Junior Racquetball Free Lessons are half hour group lessons to introduce the participant to the game of racquetball. Stretching and relay drills, basic forehand, backhand and one serve, while using fun and games to make it interesting. Playing with another participant at the end of every class with minimal supervision is also a key part of the learning process.

Cardio Kickboxing Class is a fun and energetic cardio class incorporating kicks and punches that are specifically designed for burning calories quickly and safely.

Dance Class is taught to two age groups. Four to six year olds learn Jazz Style with emphasis on technique, terminology and movement with proper execution of isolation, rhythms and various jazz styles are performed to contemporary music. Seven to nine year olds learn Hip Hop Style with strength and understanding of rhythm. Funk and street style dancing taught to today's top music.

Yoga Classes will take you through traditional yoga poses in a very fluid format so the body is in constant motion. This class will help develop focus and allow for relaxation while improving joint flexibility and muscular tone.

Zumba is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness that is moving millions of people toward joy and health. Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, martial arts, and some Bollywood and belly dance moves. Squats and lunges are also included. Zumba exercises include music with fast and slow rhythms and resistance training.

The outdoor swimming pool area totaling 12,480 square feet includes the regulation size Olympic pool, office, showers, concessions, changing rooms and "new opening 2010" spray park for infants to age 7. Those children who must use a life jacket and have not passed their swim test can not be left unattended. Come and have a lot of fun at your neighborhood pool. Lounge chairs, life jackets, water noodles and water wings are available for your enjoyment.

Swimming lessons are held at the pool. There are four (4) two-week session for infants to adults. You are never too young or too old to learn to swim. Hurry to register; they fill up fast.

Swim Team
 
Swim Team is for any student regardless of abilities. If you are just beginning to swim, please check with the coach for recommendations on the appropriate way to get started. Students can only be on the team until they are 18-19 years old. We promote team spirit and collective swimming expertise by trying to have all swimmers start and finish each set together. The only requirement is that each swimmer participate willingly and show respect for coach and teammates .

Water Aerobics
 
Water aerobics is a full compliment of cardiovascular, strength and flexibility exercises. Mild exercises that are done in the warm water are designed strengthen the muscles of the hips, back and abdomen while increasing flexibility with a series of gentle movements in the pool to help relieve pain and stiffness while providing a fun, social opportunity. No swimming skills required.

Lap Swimming
 
Lap swimming is where the lanes will be set up for continuous lap swimming only. Participants must be 18 years and older, but must be capable of swimming several lengths continuously, including in the deep end. Slow, medium and fast lanes will be set up to meet the needs of all swimmers. Diving boards are closed.
