Mission
Statement |
| |
The
City of Cut Bank Urban Forestry Advisory Board (UFAB) mission encourages
and promotes management, expansion and improvement of our community
forestry programs for the benefit of the citizens of Cut Bank. UFAB
seeks advice from the State Forester on the direction of the UFAB Urban
Forestry Program. Together we work to promote public awareness and education
of community forestry and its benefits; advise the people of Cut Bank
on community forestry issues and concerns; and encourage the planting,
maintenance and management of vegetation in the City of Cut Bank.

provides direction, technical assistance, public attention, and national
recognition for urban and community forestry programs in thousands of
towns and cities that more than 135 million Americans call home.
The
many benefits of being a Tree City include creating a framework for
action, education, a positive public image, and citizen pride.

Arbor Day is a nationally-celebrated
observance that encourages tree planting and care.
National Arbor Day
is the last Friday in April, but many states observe Arbor Day on different
dates according to their best tree-planting times.
Improve your community
with a volunteer tree planting event. Whether you want to plant one
tree or 1,000 trees we can provide you with the knowledge and tools
to get the trees in the ground.

Tree Planting Events
Improve your community with a volunteer tree planting event. Whether
you want to plant one tree or 1,000 trees we can provide you with the
knowledge and tools to get the trees in the ground.
The Arbor Day Foundation
has numerous resources available to you or your company to plan, organize
and execute a tree planting event in your community.
•Our events
provide an opportunity for your employees to improve the community
where they live and work while earning media attention for your company.
•We’ll
help you plant anywhere from 20 up to 200 large trees that will provide
immediate benefits to our environment.
•Events
are held in the fall and spring, during the best time to plant in
your area.
•Parks,
schools, community open spaces, and neighborhoods all need trees.
We work closely with local partners to determine the best place in
your city to add new trees.
•Our events
can be completely customized. Choose the location, number of trees,
whom to invite, and many other extras to make your event memorable
and enjoyable.
•Volunteers
gather together in the morning, receive a tree planting demonstration,
plant trees and assist with clean up. Events usually last about three
to four hours.
