CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

Chair Tina Gauthier called the meeting of the Urban Forestry Advisory Board to order at 12:52 PM, Tuesday, May 9, 2012. The following members answered roll call: Tina Gauthier, Damon Bunting, Kelly Solberg. Absent were John Damberger, Kim Stoltz, Brandi Shortman and Kurt Schattee. All present stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

Urban Forestry Code

Chair Gauthier stated that the Urban Forestry Codes were passed with Tim Curtiss, Kelly Solberg and Mayor Doug Embody present on October 13, 2010. These codes were never brought before Cut Bank City Council. Mayor Doug Embody informed Chair Gauthier that Member Solberg would need to bring the new code before the council so the codes can be changed from Trees in the Parkway to Urban Forestry Advisory Board.

Urban Forestry Advisory Board Code

Chair Gauthier informed the board that Title 2, Boards and Commissions needs to be brought before the council. Chair Gauthier is requesting this be brought to the council by Member Solberg.

Arbor Day School Presentations

Chair Gauthier informed the board that the coloring books have been given to the HC Davis students. Anna Jeffries students have watched the video and received activity packs. Cut Bank Middle Schoolers, 6th, 7th and 8th grade, watched a video and planted Caragana bushes.
